Oso is a cute 1-2 year old Chihuahua who weighs a mere 6 pounds. He came to us from another very large metropolitan Humane Society that did not think he was ready for the adoption floor. His is not just another cute face! Oso is absolutely adorable and playful and loving once he knows you are his friend. He adores puppies and especially the cute little squeaky toys they have to play with. Oso is quite overwhelmed in a shelter environment, but you must trust us when we tell you that he is a very different pooch in a home setting. He hates to be kept in a crate, but will snuggle beside you all night. He doesn't snore, either. Oso does get along well with other dogs. He would probably do fine in a home with another canine friend that can help him come out of his shell. Foster Update 3/17/10 : It definitely takes awhile for Oso to warm up to a new person, but petting him while he sleeps and feeding him are great enticements. He religiously uses a pee pad and is quite a little unpredictable minx. One minute he can be found running in circles around the house; the next he is sound asleep on the sofa. He seems to be quite content with entertaining himself, although he has no problem being around other dogs or cats. Bottomline is that he is quite cute and has a tendency to quickly grow on you. www.atlantapetrescue.org
